Nostalgia

Do you recall the very first internationally famous artist/band you listened to? Mine was Cyndi Lauper at the age of 5. I vaguely remember sitting in the living room with my Dad’s Sony FM/AM Stereo Cassette-Corder CFS-210 Boom-box (I only remember the model because we currently own it) and rummaging through my dad’s album collection to listen to. As you know, bright colours appeal to children; which is how I stumbled upon She’s So Unusual by Cyndi Lauper. My dad taught me how to use the boom-box; and when I heard Cyndi’s songs play on the speakers, my ears were thrilled. I had no idea what the lyrics were saying because English was something I was learning at the time. I would sing and dance along to her songs through made up vocabulary and babbles.

A couple nights ago I had a dream that 6-8 moons filled the sky and an alien disguised as a human talked about how it was going to fall to the ground.

My friend gave me a dream catcher last Christmas. Love love love! I also love the photo quality my camera takes. :)

I was so stoked that my digital camera had the capability to take photos underwater without the camera itself being damaged, so a couple of days ago I tested this out. The good news is, my camera successfully survived undamaged after being submerged underwater for over 10 minutes. The downside is, most of the photos were unfocused. I tried adjusting the camera settings manually as well as automatic settings, tried flash versus no flash and 20+ shots later they all looked like smeared crap. Maybe I just suck at doing taken photos. Whatever the reason is, I will try this again and hope it will take a decent photo. This was the best photo of the bunch. I love how my dead skin is visibly noticeable in the water haha.

It started snowing a couple days ago here in BC. Compared to Toronto, it was a dinky amount of snow, yet still strong enough to knock the power out of the neighbourhood. Half an hour I got home from work, there was a blackout. WEAKSAUCE.
